Twenty-five years before Nick Cave bared his quasi-fictional soul in 20,000 Days on Earth (CIMMFest 2014), Schueppel - then studying at the German Film Academy, now one of Berlin's most respected indie directors - got a peek behind the veil, accompanying Cave and the Bad Seeds on a five-week US tour. He returned with this riveting vérité document, rarely screened since its 1990 release, that intimately captures the experience of life on the road for a budding icon adjusting uneasily to sobriety and celebrity.
